Thorne Brook Designs was named after Thorne Brook, a small stream that meanders through a hemlock woodland on its way to the Green River in Northern Massachusetts where I lived for five years. It was in this magical, natural setting, surrounded by stone, forest, and water that a creative vision for myself emerged. Creating my jewelry has become my new work, allowing me to transition from a career of nearly two decades in technical communication. Thorne Brook Designs jewelry, made from stones and silver, is my tribute to the environment that inspired it. Though I’ve since moved to Southern Vermont, I have kept the name of Thorne Brook to remember that special place where my jewelry was born.

All Thorne Brook Designs jewelry is designed and created by hand in my home studio in Wardsboro, Vermont. Each piece may include semi-precious stones, Austrian crystal, Czech and Japanese glass, freshwater pearls, and sterling silver or vermeil beads and components. I hand-select the materials and create one-of-a-kind designs as an alternative to mass-produced fashion. My customers find my jewelry versatile and easy-to-wear in all seasons and settings.
